It seems the incense does work. As they pass another island, a Rolycoly rolls up and looks at them from shore. Its one eye looks at the incense with plain hunger. The smell of charcoal wafts through the air.[break]
"Get outta here!" Shouts the dog. His Lapras turns the surf into their ally, washing the Rolycoly and sending it running away. Perhaps something grander will take its place.

A Lairon rolls onto shore, roaring at the dog. It, too, smells the incense. It, too, hungers. It, too, is rejected. His eyes estimate the creature, judging its worth.
